Similar to an EKG, this device monitors the heart’s electrical signals and can detect abnormal – or even dangerous – rhythms in the heart. The Holter Monitor records these signals over a 24 hour time period in order to see how the heart reacts to routine daily activities. This device is attached to the patient via electrodes and, as it is a little larger than a credit card, it can be easily attached to the patient’s clothing.
